BC: What inspired you to pursue a career in addiction prevention within the iGaming industry?

SL: Having devoted over 15 years to specialised mental health care, I have encountered and addressed profound addiction challenges in both my professional practice and personal life, notably including issues related to gambling addiction.

BC: Can you share a bit about your background and experience that led you to your current role at BetComply?

SL: In addition to my extensive experience in mental health care, I also bring a background in social legal matters, which aligns seamlessly with my role at BetComply.

BC: How do you stay updated on the latest trends and developments in addiction prevention techniques?

SL: I stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in addiction prevention techniques through monthly updates provided by the BetComply team. Additionally, I actively engage with my professional network, utilise social media, attend conferences, participate in consultations, and join relevant industry events to stay abreast of industry developments.

BC: What advice do you have for iGaming companies looking to enhance their addiction prevention strategies?

SL: I recommend that iGaming companies leverage the expertise of mental health professionals, including seasoned experts. BetComply’s collaboration with a diverse pool of experts is a powerful approach that I highly commend.

BC: What aspect of your role at BetComply do you find most fulfilling?

SL: I am very happy when I can create a situation in which all parties’ interests are represented equally.

BC: What do you enjoy most about working in a team environment at BetComply?

SL: We are all people- people who are hardworking, and I think we primarily have a shared vision of life. I felt very welcome from the start.

BC: What are some of your interests or hobbies that you enjoy pursuing outside of your work?

SL: I like kickboxing, love plants and animals, and am very interested in neuroscience. Oh and food. I like food a lot!

BC: What is your favourite travel destination and why?

SL: I just got home from Canada, which has become my new favourite destination because it is so versatile.

BC: Are you a morning person or a night owl, and why?

SL: I’m definitely a morning person (after I had my coffee!). This is going to sound a bit vague, but I love the fact that a new day has started, and I can do what I want and enjoy the beautiful things in life.

BC: If you could invite any three people, living or dead, to a dinner party, who would you choose and why?

SL: I would like to talk to people who have completely changed world history, whether positively or negatively. I would like to discuss their vision and ask questions about why they made certain choices, etc.
